My playlist for Christmas includes every pop star or rock music artist who has a Christmas song which is about Jesus. I find it very enjoyable to hear all my favorite faith holiday songs sung by celebrities, as ungodly as some of them may be, because they are bowing their knee for a moment to the King of Kings. God’s Word says Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: {but others of love, knowing that the songs were written to preach the gospel.} What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Philippians 1:15, 17-18 KJV
If you search you can find Silent Night by Meghan Trainor, Rod Stewart, Pentatonix, Mariah Carrie, Destiny’s Child (featuring Beonce’) Michael Buble and Toby Mac; The Drummer Boy is sung by Bob Segar, Johnny Cash, Carrie Underwood, NSYNC, Andronicus; O Little Town Of Bethlehem by Barbara Streisand, O Come O Come Emanuel by King and Country, Angels We Have Heard On High by Christina Aguilera; What Child is This by Martina McBride, Oh Holy Night by Mariah Carey; Mary Did You Know by Clay Aiken, It Came Upon A Midnight Clear by Frank Sinatra; Do You Hear What I Hear by Mary J Blige;
So Christ is preached by R&B, Country, Pop singers, Rock artists, Jazz, Soul, Jewish stars and Hard rock as well. Whether sincere or for selfish glory Christ is preached at Christmas. I enjoy hearing the world bow their hearts by singing of Christ publicly.
